In 1979 and the seeds of
Living
Water Teaching (LWT)were planted in the country of
Guatemala by Pastor Jim and Marion Zirkle.
The work of this ministry
grew to include outreaches in eleven countries
in Latin America. Bible
schools, evangelistic campaigns, medical clinics,
Operation Shoebox. The ministry
of LWT was reaching for the nations.

Mercy
Wings International was birthed to complement the
mission of LWT in Guatemala and
surrounding countries. Aircraft would prove to be a
valuable asset, on which the ministry mission could move
forward. The fleet would
grow
to include: single, multi-engine, piston, and turbo-prop
aircraft. In November 1998, a tragic accident would
cause Mercy Wings to lay dormant for the next 10 years.
The
many aircraft that once served LWT and
the people of Guatemala have long since been placed into
service elsewhere outside the ministry save one, the
last to join the Mercy Wings team,
a Cessna T206H.
In
2008, the revived Mercy Wings International
(MWI) returned to Guatemala
ready for flight
and providing air services to further the mission of
LWT by speeding
humanitarian relief, supply, and
the Gospel of Jesus Christ
to the people of Latin America. |
